The first one I completed in 2016 is based on a design called Amadeus & Friends by Connie Root. I made a few changes, but most of the design is from the original. Connie’s husband donated the design to the Corning EGA and proceeds go to Connie’s favorite charities.
The next one was The Life Cycle of the Swallowtail Butterfly taught by Jane Nicholas at the EGA 2013 National Seminar in Louisville, Kentucky. This stumpwork piece was quite a challenge and I am pleased with how it turned out. I had it framed in a shadow box with the Latin name of the species attached to the bottom of the frame.
The last finish for the year was Acorns and Oak Leaves, a blackwork design by Marion Scoular and taught as a one day workshop by her at the Canopy Roads Chapter of the EGA in Tallahassee, Florida.
